Rejected KYC? A Step-by-Step Recovery Plan
A rejection isn't the end — but resubmitting blindly makes things worse. Follow this five-step plan to diagnose the cause and get approved on the next attempt.
A rejected verification feels like a dead end, but in most cases it's a solvable problem. The worst thing you can do is immediately resubmit the same documents — repeated failures push your profile into higher-risk review. Follow this plan instead.
Step 1: Find the actual rejection reason
Check the rejection email and in-app message carefully. Platforms usually state a category: document quality, document expired, information mismatch, or unsupported document. If the reason is vague, contact support and ask specifically which document or data point failed.
Step 2: Match the reason to the fix
Our top 10 rejection reasons article maps every common cause to its fix — from re-photographing a blurry ID to correcting a name mismatch. Fix the real cause, not a guess.
Step 3: Rebuild the failing document
If the ID photo failed, re-shoot it flat in daylight with all edges visible. If proof of address failed, get a fresh document issued within 90 days — our proof-of-address guide lists what gets accepted. If the selfie failed, fix lighting and framing before the next liveness attempt.
Step 4: Align every data point
Before resubmitting, check that your profile name, ID name, address document, and entered address are all identical. Inconsistency across documents is the most common reason a 'fixed' application gets rejected again.
Step 5: Resubmit once, completely
Submit the full corrected pack in one attempt. Partial resubmissions and rapid retries both count against you.
When to get help
If you've been rejected twice, or the platform won't tell you why, professional diagnosis pays for itself. Our Rejected-KYC Recovery service reviews the rejection, identifies the fix, and guides your resubmission — and the Resubmission Bundle packages a full re-review with 14 days of support. If the account was suspended rather than just rejected, see Platform Reinstatement Guidance.
